   A lot of maybes and possiblies there.  *8O)  Maybe you're right and
this method will work, I can't say I've tried to analyse its feasibility,
but I think the point of this discussion is the Felix doesn't want to
provide DGD with the networking facilities installed.  To be honest, I'd
do exactly the same thing in his position - if you want networking
facilities in DGD, no matter how often they are used or how many other
drivers use them, then you should install them as a patch and be aware
of what capabilities you are then giving your system.  It's just like the
file access functions - if you want no security on them and free access to
everybody and his dog, then fine, just as long as you're willing to take
responsibility for it at the end of it all.
   Just my tuppence worth.
