Ichat, Inc. used DGD to develop their "ROOMS" chat server, which is
definitely in the former catagory.  They have an exclusive license, and
might be sub-licensing but I don't know to whom.

LPMOO is still my favourite.  I'm not aware of any other spectacular
applications (other than the mudlib I'm developing, of course :) );
