I commend you to the mud-dev list, with signups at www.kanga.nu -- the folk
there are extremely knowledgable and helpful. It is a moderated list, so the
signal-to-noise ratio is good. Read the FAQ if nothing else, and look in the
online hypertext archives also at kanga.nu (try searching on keyword "combat
system" for instance.)
