This sounds like you expect the patch the modify the binary/executable
that you compiled?

All patches for DGD are source patches, they modify the C code (.c and .h
files) and/or the Makefiles.  After you've applied the patch using the
'patch' program (which is most likely already present on your computer or
shouldn't be any trouble finding/downloading/compiling) you can compile
DGD as usual.

No, 1.1p6 nor any other DGD version released by Dworkin contain anything
from external sources already patched in.

No, the only things you need to do for Linux are, as you already did, to
move dgd/src/host/Makefile.sysv into place and edit dgd/src/Makefile.
