[DGD]Newbie question?

Yes I am very much a newbie at this so if my questions get too stupid just 
let me know and I'll pipe down...;)

Anyway I am trying to run the lpmud 2.4.5 lib with the DGD driver and I 
keep getting an error message that says...

fatal error cannot create swap file ../tmp/swap

I have tried changing the location of the directory in the config file to 
several locations with no luck.

Any advice?
