[DGD] Connection problems.....

I was looking over the various libs, and I was able to get the following
working with 1.2.84
MudOS
Melville
LPMud 2.4.5
Stock DGD 1.2.84
 
However, I downloaded the gurba lib, compiled it (1.2.47 included in it)
and got it started, however when I 
Try to connect to localhost (or my ip from external) to the telnet port
in mud.cfg, no dice, get connection refused error.
 
Any thoughts on what im overlooking?
