I have my kernel working on an unmodified version of DGD now, and can't
reproduce the problem, so I guess I know where to look next.

Hence, untill further notice, the network package shouldn't be used with
1.2.133, and I suspect the bug exists also when applied to earlier versions,
but doesn't show itself in the things I tested so far.
