Ive got my own scheme planned similar to what dworkin said.  All i was going to do to implement it was have outgoing text put into a buffer.  The buffer gets flushed when it hits a certain size, and is written to that players own folder, with a name appended with time, which is the time the flush was made.  When a complaint is filed, data retrieval by the authorized snooper would be sorted in a sensible way by time.  There would be no need for a complaint to be within 2 hours after an event.  This is useful, for if say there is a pattern of harassment that needs examination in context.  Similarly for a scam or other incident taking place over a period of time.
