[DGD] phantasmal usage survey

Just figuring on making some changes to phantasmal's architecture, but
before I do so, I would like to check around and see how much
collateral damage I'd be doing, as well as how much backward
compatibility to retain.

1.  Does anyone use DGD on windows?
2.  Does anyone use Phantasmal on a windows server?
3.  Does anyone use Phantasmal on any operating system other than unix
and family?
4.  Does anyone use Phantasmal at all?

I'm thinking of dropping windows support by using case sensitivity to
distinguish users from systems (i.e. "System" versus "system"), as
well as using kotaka's boot scripts for phantasmal (which would imply
using bash instead of perl).

Any suggestions in this area would be appreciated, as always.
