Yes, it will be.  DGD will also maintain feature parity with DGD/MP,
except for the "big server" features that will only be in the latter.

DGD is very portable, while DGD/MP will only run on the latest version
of a few operating systems (OS X, Linux, Solaris, Windows, maybe
mainframes later).  And for a small mud, DGD will be much more efficient.
