I only have two machines to test on, and they are both “lower end” by today’s standards,
but I figured I’d go ahead and post a link to the results anyways.

My Linux box is an old dual-core Pentium G630 chip, running at 2.7GHz, with 16GB of RAM.
My Windows 10 box is a quad-core hyperthreading i7-6700K, running at 4.0GHz, with 64GB of RAM.

I ran tests out a few steps beyond the “useful” range, just because it seemed interesting to see
the core utilization as the number of threads went over the number of real cores, and the number
of virtual cores. For that reason, I’m posting a link instead of the raw results. Raw results would
be pretty spammy, and I took screenshots of the CPU use graphs during the runs.

If you don’t want (or can’t get to) the link below for some reason, I can post just the text, or a
subset thereof.

Interestingly I never saw a CPU utilization of more than 50%, even when telling it to do 32 threads,
and a single CPU core never got above 70%.
