"Offended" I may be upon witnessing two players enacting a rape scene.
If someone does it to me, I would call that "harassment".  Unless you
populate your mud with therapists, explicitly modelling rape in
your mud will encourage those inclined to harass, with the result of
chasing off the people who mud for fun.

Harassment is a significant problem on many muds.  What ways have others
on this mailing list found to prevent it and deal with it?
