Interesting point, and useful in general 'good vs evil' muds which has
player recognition.  How can you secretly ally with your rl friend Bob 
the troll, when all trolls look the same?  A slightly more interesting
variation on 'good vs evil' would be to have a number of races, each of
which ally with different combinations of each other - although this
might cause problems when your human character is trying to form an 
adventuring group with a dwarf and an elf, both of which hate each others
guts.
