Well, it's actually pretty easy to play muds as long as you can activate a
Java-enabled browser (Netscape or IE). The Mud Connector
(www.mudconnect.com) has a Java mud client that can connect to every mud
which is in its listings. One of the builders on my mud connects using
that client...I had to add the mud to the listings specifically to get him
access.
As to the whole advertising mess, I personally don't see a problem with
it, but I see your point about not wanting the list to become a mess of
ads. If you can strip the ads relatively easily, go with that. However,
I'd rather see the ads than lose the input of somebody who has something
to contribute...basically the reason why I listed my mud on the Mud
Connector.
