What I meant is that companies (in the UK, anyway) seem to have the
attitude that they would rather learn mistakes themselves than pay someone
to tell them what their mistakes are. However, no sooner have they
acquired the expertise in-house than the people who have it go away,
either to form their own company or to work for someone else who's
more desperate to get into the online gaming industry than the people who
employed them in the first place.
The implication is that the first company should have hired the
consultant, but of course that would be the implication, given that I AM a
consultant..!
