Writing variously as the list owner and list host for the lists hosted
at Kanga.Nu:

Kanga.Nu has now transitioned to the new host. Some services, such
as list archives, FTP collections, and CVS repositories have yet to be
fully transferred, or are not fully operational in their new
location. They will be coming fully back on line soon.

List services are now running under a new list server called
"Kettledrum" as versus the prior "petidomo". From the viewpoint of a
subscriber few things should change because of this. One thing that
is different is that the new list server attempts to track and manage
bouncing subscriber addresses.

If mail from the list to your subscription address bounces, the list
will start sending you warning messages indicating that your account
is in danger of being unsubscribed by the system for bouncing.
Obviously if you receive the warning message the list *is* able to
send messages to you, just not reliably becasue some list mail to you
is bouncing.

In such a case, especially if you have handled whtever problem was
causing the bounces, you can remove yourself from the "bouncers list"
by sending a message from your subscription address to
<listname>-request at kanga.nu with a message body of "unbounce".

eg If you receiving bounce warnings from the mud-dev list:

  From: <you>
  To: mud-dev-request at kanga.nu
  Subject:
  ----------

  unbounce

This would remove your address from the "bouncers list". It will
not however prevent further bounces from your address from re-adding
your address to the bouncers list later.

If your address bounces enough you will be unsubscribed from the
list. You will be sent warnings prior to this point however, and
temporary conditions (such as a full mailbox for a day or so) will not
be enough to kick you off. Further, immediately prior to being
unsubscribed, you will be sent a message stating why you were
unsubscribed (which hopefully won't bounce).
