I don't know much about these two chips in particular, but the short
answer is that there is no such thing as "pure processing power".  As
any course in computer architecture will tell you, a measure of a
processor's performance is application dependent.  That said, you may
want to look up SpecInt and SpecFp results for the two processors. 
Also, more cache can increase performance a lot (and cost a lot)...
