Basternae as a Duris replacement died, Duris is back open, and there's rumblings
that they're working on Duris II, but nobody who knows anything for sure is
saying anything.

Some former basternae players took the name, and one of the admins, and are
working on a new MUD, with a fresh (envy based IIRC) codebase, that will
run under the name Basternae: Phoenix rising or something like that.

Don't quote me on numbers ... I was an imm on duris and basternae both, but
my memory gets kinda foggy at times. I think at it's peak, Duris had 200-250 on
with an average around 100 in the 'downtimes' (read at night) ... Basternae peaked
somewhere around 150-175 with a 'downtime' average around 50. Duris' current
incarnation averages around 100-115 a night with a 'downtime' average of 40 (note
that I'm not imming on the new duris, so this is from a player perspective only)
