I've avoided coming in on this thread, but I will just briefly mention
that, from what I've seen, it does sound like the general setiment is
that "the only motivation anyone would ever have for PvP actions is that
they are 14-year-old testosterone-drenched brats who have the desire to
inflict pain and exert power in an anonymous way over as many people
as possible, and will probably grow up to by psycho killers until they
are finally put down like the dogs that they are." (Okay, that's
a slight exageration.)

I am normal and generally well-adjusted adult (or at least, I like to
think so) and I greatly enjoy PvP. Most of my favorite memories of
mudding over the years come from PvP activities, and a lot of my
best online aquintences I met through PvP (eg, trying to kill each other).
My favorite muds (with two exceptions) all allow and often encourage
PK, PSteal, etc.

To summarize: I agree with Jon. I doubt that anyone that feels the way
that I do wants to come in on the thread when there is such a condescending
attitude in the air. Starting on the defensive is not a good way to
have a rational (and informative) discussion.
