First off, PvP can cover a lot more than just PK. My off-the-cuff
definition of PvP includes any form of aggression on the part of
one player against another player. So verbal abuse is PvP, as is
camping at prime repop locations. With that definition in mind, I
would say that the only way to have a mud that allowed PvP but in
which no player engaged in PvP would be for all PvP mechanisms to
be so abstract that not only would the aggressor not consider it
PvP, neither would the victim. An example would be a mud that did
nothing but simulate games of chess (not even allowing table talk).
