"motion sickness" is caused by conflicting messages between the
inner ear and your eyes, which generally leaves your stomach to
settle the dispute.  You might not have true motion sickness, but
games have other factors involved because of the quality of the
animation, I've noticed that the more advanced graphics get, the
less my "simulator sickness" is a factor because of smoother
animation, motion blur, etc.

Perhaps that's the difference in your case.  BTW, as someone posted
(Daniel.Harman at barclayscapital.com), I get "acclimated" to it,
although I think desensitized is a better word in this case.
