[MUD-Dev] About the FAQ

Hello everybody,
I have added pointers to the two MUD timelines that I am aware of
to the Resources section of the FAQ, mainly because it could not
hurt, though the lack of response to my question indicates that
either my posts are not read (;) or a rather overwhelming lack of
interest in the subject.
I am also busy cleaning up the MUD listing in the FAQ, but for
this I -will- need more help. As it is the listing is a haphazard
collection of muds somebody at one point wanted added. I have al-
ready begun to separate "famous" muds from ones that are run by
members of this list. Inevitably this means that some muds that
are noteworthy end up in category two, but I have not the know-
ledge about these particular games to decide how to deal with the
situation differently. Any comment/discussion is welcome. I think
it is a subject that belongs on the main list (i.e. which muds
are important, and why?) Ideally I want to be able to produce a
much shorter list of muds for the FAQ that includes reasons why
they are important for the mud development community, and a list,
or preferably a pointer to a web page, of muds that are of inter-
est as ongoing projects that can be discussed with the developers
on this list, or used as illustration of particular points.
Also, what am I to do with defunct muds? Some of them were land-
marks once, but are no longer accesible. Are they still resources
or should I refer to the mud timelines for those?
Finally, It is time to collect another list of subjects discussed
during the previous year. Could somebody with a good understand-
ing of how the archives work be so kind of compiling it for me? I
(very) maybe could do it myself, but it would take an dispropor-
tional amount of time, and I would not vouch for the accuracy of
the results.
