The same thing is seen increasingly in the physical world, as the
world becomes a more global place. It's the same phenomenom that
lets a Michael Jordan make 10x as much as a Kevin Garnett, despite
Jordan not being anywhere near 10x as good. As the global reach of a
product increases, the bulk of revenue in a product category starts
shifting further and further towards a small, elite hyper-competent
percentage of people or products.
