Bang on.
The debate is pointless. People's behaviour won't change, they'll
just be paying more for it.
Having said that and given that so many dislike it, I wonder whether
anyone will start a direct action protest by inciting everyone to
fill all their cross server character slots! I'm surprised no one
though of this when all the EQ protests were going on.
