Actually, you would want to trick them into believing that they are
going to be shot. Telling them to fall over when they hear a shot
makes it a voluntary action when in fact you're trying to test an
involuntary action.
This brings up a problem with the previous study - did those people
know they were going to be shot? If not, how are they able to have a
psychosomatic response to an event they had no expectation for?
