But there is no reason why a graphical MUD could not provide you the
appropriate vehicle for such expression.  They currently do not
(insofar as I know), but graphical MUDs are not per se unable to do
so.

I get the feeling, though, that were such a mechanism implemented,
you would still find it lacking--because the vast majority of
players will almost certainly not "look" at your description.  I
wonder, then, is it really that graphical MUDs provide you only
"limited range of customization," or that they impair your ability
to create the fiction (in your own mind) that other players
appreciate such a description as you might conjure?

I would readily agree that graphical MUDs present a high hurdle to
the creation of such a fiction.
