Well, I realize we aren't huge (currently having daily peaks on
Achaea around 400), but as I mentioned in a reply to Raph, we get
this sort of thing multiple times a day. What's the big deal? We
have people monitoring for this essentially 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week and if we were just a little more disciplined and organized
about it, we could easily have it done every hour of every year.
Banning someone's IP for X period of time is a simple
solution. Banning them takes almost no time, and is certainly faster
than the troublemakers can get themselves a new IP by disconnecting
and reconnecting with their dynamic connection.
