I know at the table where I was, there was recognition. We had a
short conversation along the lines of:

  "Hey, isn't that Dave Arneson?"

  "You mean THE Dave Arneson from D&D?"

  "Yeah."

  "OOOooooooOOOoo..."

I don't know why nobody applauded when he stood up. Maybe we were
too starstruck or something.
