You're reading an assumption in here that I haven't been making,
namely "subjective == worthless".
This isn't at all what I've been arguing, which is that "subjective
!= objective."
If I say that the question "is yellow better than blue?" doesn't
have an objective answer, because "better" is a subjective
criterion, that doesn't mean that I have no color preferences, or
that I don't think color preferences are worth looking into. I am
making none of the "big three" common epistemological fallacies:
Solipsist: "everything is subjective: the universe is all in my
head" Reductionist "everything is objective: if you can't measure
it, it doesn't exist" Postmodern "everything is intersubjectively
constructed: nothing matters but culture"
I am, rather, saying that claiming that "is yellow better than
blue?" has an objective answer is making a category error.
