[MUD-Dev2] DGN Allowing Robots

Often, designers come up with mechanics which can easily be exploited by
'bots.
When those mechanics are subsequently exploited, 'bots are forbidden, with
enforcement often based on human administration (which adds to the workload
of the administrators). Automated bot-detection methods (possibly based on
CAPCHAs) are often annoying to humans.

Possibly allowing 'bots would give feedback as to what mechanics are
uninteresting. Surely there are game mechanics that are as complex and
difficult to automate as CAPCHAs, without breaking idiom.

Does anyone here know of any muds that allow or encourage botting?

NB: "we allow bots as long as they're only chatbots" isn't what I'm looking
for.
