I am an alt-oholic. I quit WoW because into my fourth alt I just
couldn't bring myself to do the same general set of quests again. Same
reason I left CoH.

Is that an immediate problem for the game vendors? Probably not. But
it does mean I look more askance at leveling games than ever where the
missions are static. Is that a long-term problem for the game vendors?
I think it is - consumers don't drain out of this market and game
players would like to play games until the day we're recycled into
soylent green. PGC definitely has a future however unexploited it is
right now.

Business people who rely too strongly on what "everyone knows" miss that
the underyling factors behind those lessons are constantly shifting.
Life is like that and that is why the term "creative destruction" was
coined.
