If anyone hasn't read them, Gordon did a couple of good talks at GDC
2003/2004 on this kind of stuff - "10 reasons not to make a
multiplayer game", and "Nine Things to Look For in the Next Generation
of MMOGs".

There was an article I did for Develop a few years which was inspired
by the first one :) - "10 MMOG's you don't want to do" - and I've
proposed a talk for Austin of 10 things to get right when developing
an MMOG (although my ten are all large technical and production issues
pre-launch, not launch and marketing ones).
