Heh, I was involved with Worldforge about, oh, 7 years ago, now?  But
all the work I did was on STAGE, which has fallen into the dead
project dustbin.

Back in the day, WF had a very active IRC chat, and that was a good
place to find someone to help out: http://worldforge.org/doc/irc

The Server mailing list looks like it's been dead since 2005, but it
looks like General is still in-use:
