i am made a few changes to the opensim. now that address is:
http;//hypergrid.mischiefworks.net with "forums"
http://forums.mischiefworks.net

i dont have it working 100% between the two of them but is ok. in hypergrid i just have news; it forums is where you respond to the news and other things.

i think hypergrids is the way to go and i am going to show people how to do it. i assume i will know...hm. also things like eqemu could hook up to opensim like right now they are doing with their simpleclients. and finally a text-based mud could be hook up the hypergrid. i dont think that second life itself is interesting in making a model for 4 billion people but with hypergrid it can happen. well, it is getting closer.

why not have a vworlds where you can stay in it 24/7 and go to every part of the other worlds -- web, muds, games, and so on.

right now there is a "ruth" and a island and most people say "wierd". but it only the beginning. you can so osgrid to see how things really work. but the best past is you have all that at your disposal right now with opensim.

come out and see. if you register, do so at forums. with lil ruth and an island is hard to imagine what it will be like. but before long you will be building regions and connecting other grids. it is free and open to all sort of possibilities.

if you know me and maddog.com then you remember when we explored vworlds long before Everquest and the rest. now join me for the next level -- a true hypergrid with user and npcs and ability to go exploring and hyperspace.

another thing to note: osgrid is opensim. so is realXtend. and dont forget you hippo client. it is second life + plus addition and open source. and yes, the server is open source too. and even java servers could be hooked up. i dont know that mechanics, but it can be done.
