As reported on Slashdot, another player has entered this market, Dave
Perry at Gaikai:

The claims are impressive indeed:

400 miles from the server
21 milisecond ping
sub 1 megabit across all games

Unlike OnLive, they don't want to host the games - they want to
license their technology to the game Publishers, so they can host the
games on their own machines.

Again, I say that it won't be long before there's an MMO which can
*only* be played this way, and I suspect that the main advantages
they'll claim are that they don't have to develop for multiple
platforms, they can make the program talk directly to their databases
etc rather than being mediated by a Game Logic server, and they don't
have to worry at all about cheating or piracy.
