[MUD-Dev2] Complete MUD-Dev mailing list archives

Hi,

There were two different sets of MUD-Dev archives available from
different sources:

 - The official kanga.nu archives (1996-2002).
 - Nick Koranda's web pages (1996-2004).

Given that my mirror of the first was and most likely always has been
corrupt, I decided to build a new one which covers the full period
that MUD-Dev lived for (1996-2006).

If you wish to generate your own mirror, you can download the mbox
email archive I created at that URL.

As this involved parsing web pages (Nick's archive) into an mbox file,
taking an mbox file extracted from gmail (by Davion at MUDBytes),
combining the two while filtering out duplicates and shoehorning it
through a standard mailing list archive generator on Windows that was
designed to be used on Linux and is not cross-platform and also only
generates archives for mailing lists it actually hosts.. I am hoping I
never have to do anything more than browse these emails ever again.

I also cannot guarantee that it is 100% correct. Dates on emails from
both sources were inconsistent, there were duplicates within each
which seem to be valid double and triple posts. So in that regard the
exact content of the list was not preserved. And the replacement
dates may or may not have been calculated correctly.

Anyone know how to get archives of the MUD newsgroups out of Google?

Anyone want to painfully trawl through the Internet Archive for the
missing content from the Imaginary Realities mirror?

Cheers,
Richard.
