[DGD]Problem with patching net package

I hope to release a new network-package version for 1.1.61 this weekend,
after a small period of inactivity I'm now back to trying to keep up with
Dworkin's release rate. ;-)

At the same time I hope to make available an LPC-based alternative to the
Easy Precompile Package (EPP), that has a lot less impact patch-wise on
the C code of DGD and because of that will be easier to maintain, also
eases the pain of maintaining several patches on top of vanilla DGD. :-)
