[DGD] [Programming] lightweight objects

Hi all,

What are lightweight objects?

I know that you probably don't feel like typing a lecture, so if you
could point me to a website that explains LWOs _in the context_ of the
MUDing paradigm, I would be very grateful.  Also, if there were dgd-list
conversations on what a lightweight object IS, could you give me a hint
as to the general time range, or perhaps a specific thread to look for?
