Well, Jakub is right, Python is definitely worth learning; if nothing else
then to get rid of the notion that indent-orientated blocks are only for
play/learning languages. Well, Python is that, in that it's very pleasant
to code in it, but its standard library is extensive and there is a lot of
3rd-party packages to boot (although not to the insane degree of Perl).
The USENET Python forum (comp.lang.python) is also one of the friendliest
coder forums on the USENET, perhaps because there is no such thing as a
frustrated and bitter Python coder ;-)

This said, I think we can use the syntax.py processor from the
ProcessorMarket wiki to our needs... You still won't be able to copy-n-paste
e-mail with code directly into the page, but the markup needed to make it
look acceptable is significantly less... I'll make a test page for it when
I have some spare time if nobody else beats me to it.
