Hardcore server design

Hello guys.

With all due respect to RP/PG/PK threads, this time I'd like to get my hands
dirty in some low-level server issues.

I've been reading about GC, message dispatch and method lookup techniques and
some of them seem to be highly applicable to an OO server foundation.
