META: Archive message format

Please have a peek at the messages in the archive for 1996.  I'm
interested in whether you think that the "thread context" bumph at the 
bottom is sufficiently useful.  Note: I can control how much context
it provides both before and after the current message.  Note also that 
the date/thread/author index links automagically take you to the
current message's entry in that index.
