Almost as soon as MUD-like environments become ubiquitious if not
slightly sooner. How long? Dunno. We're nearing a cusp here. One
side MUD's and their like will dissappear as "children's toys" (cf the
references to MUDs in Gibson's "Idoru"), and the other end has things
like Gibson's Walled City in Idoru becoming common. I have no idea
which way the pendulumn is tending.
