I think it said it came up to your waist...not sure. I went to check but:
<20hp 52e 99mv NESW>
A small black bat leaps to attack you!!
A small black bat's bite grazes your body.
A large furred spider leaps to attack you!!
A large furred spider's attack misses you.
<18hp 52e 90mv NESW>
You counterattack a small black bat!!
You miss a small black bat.
<18hp 52e 90mv perfect>
A large furred spider's bite wounds your arm.
That really did HURT!
A small black bat's bite hits your head.
You pierce a small black bat's leathery wings inflicting no damage.
You are mildly hungry.
Your throat feels dry.
<7hp 52e 35mv perfect>
A small black bat's bite grazes your body.
A large furred spider's bite wounds your head.
You are stunned, but will probably recover.
Info || Arlec killed by a lesser gremlin.
Info || Arlec has lost a level.
<-2hp 52e 0mv ??>
[OOC] Jaeuhl:
"Walkins are the risk of a tank I accept Tankship I accept risk =)"
Someone's bite devastates your body!
You have been KILLED!!
You feel vulnerable to dying.
You wake up confused and dazed, but seem alive despite your memories.
Which pretty much sums up the point I was trying to get across.

This is how it should be. In my mud, a newbie who is designed based combat
can take down wolves and bears in the wild - but even the weakest of players
can beat a mouse or a fish. I believe this is more of a realism issue than
anything - I once played an (aptly named) sillymud, which was actually a
really good mud - except that my vampire mage couldn't kill anything. At
level 3 I was killed by a plump turkey in the main street, and that really
felt wrong. Killed by a huge monster, sure...killed by a group of orcs, fair
enough...but to be killed by a plump turkey??? It wasn't even Christmas!
