The PennMUSH codebase is also capable of this now. I was considering
handling it by somehow transferring the players connection over to a
'temporary server' (a 'keepalive' connection if you like) while the reboot
took place; just to remove the inconvencience of reconnecting after. I'll
be using a custom client more likely than not, as well as allowing
normal clients, so this could just as easily be partly client-side, and an
optional extra. At anyrate it was more one of those ideas where you go
'Oh, X would be cool', rather than something very useful. :)
