Since I do occasionally post I suppose I am not really the person to
anwer this question. However, I am also the odd girl out on this list
so I thought it would not hurt to have my say.

My background is a bit mixed. I started out with diku muds (Rom I to be
precise). I immorted on a couple of muds and found that I was not the
person to be admin. I empathised too much with people to be objective,
and spent far too much time trying to mediate conflicts. Besides I love
to play in groups. Therfor I moved on to mushes and pbem's. So far I
have stuck with that decision, dropping by on a mud every now and then.
For my personal interest this list is far too technical. However that's
more a shortcoming from my part than from the list. Most of the discus-
sion of coding goes way over my head. Well, to be honest, -all- of that
talk is too deep for me. However I hope that my example will encourage
those who are far more knowledgeable than me to throw off their anxiety
and join in those discussion they feel confident they have something to
contribute to. You do not have to worry about all the things you do not
know. Stick to the things you know and try to learn about the rest.
*hugs*
