[MUD-Dev] Singleton design pattern (OT?)

Bobby Schmidt wrote an article in the March '99 issue of C/C++ Users Journal
in which he wrote a singleton class (he later revisited it in the August issue
to address a problem within.)

If you don't have access to it (it might be on www.cuj.com), I could probably
dig that issue up.
