I think young, impresionable minds being assailed by words of hate and
disrespect is bad.  I don't know that censorship is the answer, but I haven't
heard many that were better.  The shrubbery idea is quite nice, but is definately
censorship.

As for your second point, I think it may be possible that people who
readily accept degrading language may be the more dangerous:  If they
can't make their anger known that way, then they may have to resort
to a more physical means of assault.  So, if one is desensitized to
all that language can do to a person, how can they express themselves?

Weapons of destruction sure seem to get people's attention...
