You know, the real world actually takes it one step further than that. You
can be held responsible for things that happen to trespassers on your
land. Case in point: Growing up, we used to get these irritating, drunk,
redneck snowmobilers (I grew up in a small midwest town) tearing through
our woods, scaring the wildlife and whatnot, but it definitely would have
been illegal to string barbed wire at neck level to nail them as they came
through.
