Hey, I've been dead before ;p j/k
Actually I believe the old development team for Middle Earth Online was
planning on implementing that exact idea. The interesting thing was that
many pvp oriented groups showed a lot of interest and favor for this feature
on the various Middle Earth message boards. I'd like to have or play a game
with this feature to see how well it worked.
The biggest problem is I'd think the game would have to be developed so
that a player would have to make a serious mistake before death occurred
during normal gameplay - which could be hard to make the non-pvp
interactions (I'm thinking here of the traditional monster hunting)
challenging.
