[MUD-Dev] Game Developer Conference Proceedings?

Anyone know if the proceedings from the GDC are worth buying?  They
are rather expensive, $150 or so at

What I am interested in is design oriented stuff, also stuff that is
indirectly relevant for MUD design.

(Duh, I think I need a spellchecker that knows the difference between
"is" and "are", I obviously don't...)
